The new issue of Parasol is out and wow, is it filled with colorful goodness! If you are new to Parasol, it is a monthly downloadable magazine thanks to Yasmine from A Print a Day. Each month, she finds amazing artists, designers and products that have a certain underground/eclectic feel and brings us inspiring photos, amazing interviews and quirky little side projects. You can download the PDF here, and be sure to check out A Print a Day’s shop for some adorable crafting designs. A few of my favorites from this issue…
First up is textile artist Sarah Applebaum. From the San Francisco Bay Area (woo hoo a shout out to the hometown!) her work is so colorful and imaginative I just want to sit amongst all her instillations and doodle. There is just something about it that makes me feel so happy and creative! She sure is living a crafters dream.
Next up is Annie Vought, an artist who really pays attention to detail. Inspired by her collections of letters, postcards and vintage paper finds, Annie creates amazing paper cut outs. Just take a look at this letter and to do list!!
For all those hands on crafty people out there, but sure to check out the super quick and easy diy frayed flower project. I am loving the easy to follow pictures and instructions, these are for sure my next little project… as soon as I have 5 minutes to spare!
