So what did everyone do over the weekend? We spent the better part of Saturday combing animal shelters in L.A in the search for the perfect dog. It wasn’t until the 4th stop and 5 hours later that we finally found her! Please meet Uli, the newest member of our household. We rescued her from the intensive care area, and as soon as she came out of her stall, she was so loving and played along with us. As soon as we brought her home, she took to playing fetch, the shot below was how she prefers to sit, with ball in close proximity, you know, just in case. And she is completely house broken!
There are so many cuddly and loving furry friends in shelters that are just looking for a good home and a second chance. While some may need a little time to warm up to you and their new home, rescuing an animal is probably the best feeling in the world. Not only did we save her life, we opened a spot for another dog in the shelter to receive care and hopefully get a new home! Can’t get a pet but would love to help an animal in need? Shelters are always looking for donations, blankets, food, old newspapers and even your time are always welcome! Already have a pet? Next time your getting a can or bag of food, grab an extra one for a shelter animal, most stores accept food donations their on site!
