Clocks 2.0

It has been a while since I have rounded up a collection of clocks, and this morning, I have all kinds of different styles, colors and price ranges.  As you know, I love clocks.  Even the ones that you have to stare at for a few minutes to figure out the time.  Oh how I wish I had tons of cash to expand my little collection!

These two are perfect as a tabletop accessory, or next to a bed.  Left, the Innermost Mantel Dome Clock, 6″ W x 8.5″H, comes in black or white.  And I am simply loving the Twice Twice Clock!  It will work for the table or can be hung and is 13″ x 8″ x 1″.  And as an extra bonus, this clock has dials on both sides that can display two different time settings!

Always a fan of adding color to walls, I am loving these two from H is for Home.  Unfortunatly these don’t come with fun names, on the left,  vintage wall clock made from Weimar quartz in East Germany in the 1970s!  I am just loving the red white and blue. Right, another vintage wall clock produced from Metamec in the 1960s.  I am getting more and more into orange… just got my very first bright orange accessory for the house!

Perhaps your are looking for a clock that is a little more subtle, how about these beauties from Chiasso?  I have always liked the look of flower inspired clocks and mirrors, and this one is just mesmerizing.  Left, the Orbit Clock, designed as a modern take on a sunflower and is a whopping 29.5″ in diameter! Left, the Cosmic Clock.  I love the look of metal on wood and it totally reminds me of something you would see on the set of Mad Men… anyone else excited for the new season??

A little more on the quirky side, but I am loving this Pop Quiz Math Clock. Oddly enough, I am one of those people who has never liked math, but throw it on a clock and Im all interested!  Perfect for youngsters who are learning.  This last one may not be quirky, but its really is nice to look at.  I am picturing this in an all white room… lovely!  The Firenze Wall Clock was originally designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1965 and is now available from Alessi, Italy.

I must be in the mood for a shopping spree, I stopped on over at Urban Outfitters to see what’s new, and if you haven’t been to the site lately, you need to seriously consider it!  There are tons of great odds and ends and some fun and colorful bedding new in stock.  A few things that I would grab up in a heart beat…

First up is the brightly colored 30″ Circle Bird Rug.  The size is just right to add a little color without going over the top, and it fits a nice budget at only $18! The Fiance and I have been in search of decanters that blend that traditional look with a twist of modern and this Glass Decanter is exactly what I have been picturing.  Now that summer is here and the weather is slowly getting warmer, this Industrial Fan is just too cute, and perfect for a tabletop at only 10″ tall.

Now, I don’t have an iPhone, but if I did, I might consider theses Artist Series iPhone Skins. The skins fit a 3G phone and come in several different designs, each done by a different artist. Adds a little something to that thing we all carry around with us everyday.

And now onto tabletop accessories!  I am loving all of the bold graphic plates and bowls, particularly the Graphic Plate Series 8, the Graphic Bowls Series 7 (someone needs to work on some names!) and I those Boulder Mugs make me want to curl up with a good book.

While browsing through 2Jane, I started to realize there was so much that I liked!  I love their different types of products, including their line of paint by number wallpaper.  I have a long time love of paint by number, when I was little, my grandmother and I would sit at the dining table and paint, by number, for hours!  To see it for the walls makes me want to whip out a cheap set of paint with a brush with only 10 hairs!  (For those out there that have ever painted one of these, you know exactly what Im talking about!).  Anyway, a few things that I wouldn’t mind finding a place for in my house.

And they have the Tilly the Flying Dog paint by number wallpaper!  I actually got a sample of this years ago to talk about it to my materials class in college!  Although mine was from Europe!  Can’t believe they are still making this print.

Clock clock

If this were for sale, I would snatch this amazing clock up so fast, it would be ridiculous.  As you know, I have a special place in my heart for any and all clocks, and this series of clocks is just too much!  Designed by Humans Since 1982 and simply titled Clock Clock.  Not only does each face move on its own, the hands all come together to make a digital like appearance.  You can also download a clock like font as well on their site.

Wake up already

For all those who need a little extra help getting out of bed in the morning, you might want to consider the Stand Up to Wake Up alarm carpet.  Yes, carpet.  This lovely little pad makes it impossible to turn off until you get your lazy bones out of bed and actually stand on it!  At least this alarm clock doesn’t run from you like the mobile robot alarm!

A timepiece or two

What can I say, I love clocks.  In every shape, color, size and design, each takes on a work of art for me.  I have been collecting links of clocks that I would not only love to own, but to share with all of you.  Perhaps my love for clocks is why I am never ever late!
