Think back to when you were a teenager; back when we were a little awkward and if you were like me, a self proclaimed know it all.  Fashion was definitely not one of my points of interest and being a teen in the mid to late 90’s and early 00’s, fashion was well, interesting.  So you can imagine my surprise when I saw these gorgeous photos from Teen Vouge with Emma Watson.  Now, I have never read or seen anything Harry Potter, but this girl can take some stunning photos, and the clothing!  Oh the clothing.  Although I can’t imagine a 16 year old sporting this couture in everyday life, Watson pulls these looks off quite well.  I would wear any of these in a heartbeat!  Be sure to check out the slideshow with behind the scenes photos and interviews.  Oh, and I guess I should mention the movie comes out tomorrow!

Oh I love reading blogs, you can read about anything and everything and today I hit the jackpot!  Over at Happy Mundane, the first post I was welcomed with was for Mon Oncle, a French artsy film from 1958.  You can read a little about the film here, and find fun facts about the movie.  Apparently, the dialog is not the most important part of the movie, and the set takes center stage!  Although while filming, they also made an English version with only the main conversations dubbed titled My Uncle.  Currently working on getting a copy of that movie in my hands!

All photos were taken in Paris where a life size replica was created in 2007 via deco design.

Looking for a good movie?

hard_days_night

If you are a Beatles fan, then “A Hard Days Night” is the perfect addition to your dvd collection.  Just recently I sat down to watch their first (!) movie, done in 1964.  While the dialog is a bit hard to hear, and very British, it is a very entertaining and “artsy” type of movie.  Along with acting, it also includes songs performed just for the movie.  If you enjoy this movie, you will also enjoy “Help”, the follow up to “A Hard Days Night”.  These will have you humming your favorites all day.
