So as previously mentioned, I just discovered Tumblr. How it took me this long, I will never know! Perhaps that’s a good thing, I could spend hours staring at page after page, its a photography lovers dream! Anyway, because I love photography so much, I have decided to start another feather, Tumblr Thursday! Each week I will be showcasing some of the best of the best (in my opinion of course!) to get you through the rest of the week… if you don’t count today, there is only one more day! So please, enjoy. And if you like what you see, be sure to click the via under each for more!
Oh its Monday, the weekends just seem to fly by don’t they? We had a great sunny weekend and now its back to gray so why not start off with some lovely photography right? I just discovered Joanna Henderson and really just can’t stop flipping through her portfolios! Joanna has a great eye for detail and I am loving all the saturated whites in her collection. But don’t get me wrong, I love love love bold color in home decor! So please, sit back, get inspired and do check out Joanna’s collection, it really is beautiful.

Well, I have been trying to wait to take pictures of my new “studio” until the sun is nice and bright, but after two days and a glimpse at the forecast, it may be a while. As I mentioned, over the weekend, the hubby and I reworked what we had in our place to come up with a more inviting and useable space. And I simply love it, minus the fact that there has been no sun! Even though its only a 1 bedroom apartment, I broke up the space into smaller nooks, utilizing the giant living room to its fullest. Before, my crafting/studio area was pushed in the back up against the darkest wall of the dining room, clearly that didn’t work. So we moved it right in front of our big (and only) window and moved his “study” into the back corner. Hooray for light! I wanted to snap up some pics before I really started using it and well, make a nice big mess.
See, the hubby wasn’t left out of the design! He loves his entertaining area and was actually able to use it yesterday while company was over and I was in the kitchen… a short 10′ away!
Every now and then, I simply must stop to take in all the beauty that is flickr and today I found tons of color inspiration that just makes me smile. It is so important to take small breathers from life and just lose ourselves in pretty things. I have a thing for photography, no subject matter to strange or colorful for me! So please sit back, take a break and enjoy.
For all my new readers (wow, there are so many of you!) I wanted to say a huge thanks for stopping by and for those who are hanging in there with me while I slowly pile project upon project in front of me, thanks for sticking around! For the last two weeks posts have been very light, but I have a great reason…. Im getting married in, wait for it, 15 days! Thank you for being patient as my time has been hugely detoured, but I didn’t forget about you! After the big day, I have tons planned for A Designed Life, included our very first giveaway! Woohoo! So do keep coming back, and if you aren’t already following me on Twitter, what are you waiting for?! I have been getting so many lovely followers, and thanks to everyone for all the kind wedding notes!
And just because, here is a lovely little mum to brighten your day… they just so happen to be my main flowers for the big day too!

Things are getting so crazy around here, today I thought I would slow down my brain a little and lose myself in some photography and it sure did work! When it comes to photography, I simply can’t get enough and welcome any and all subject matter. Today I stopped by Lonny, a duo out of New York, and found myself clicking away at all their great photos! Be sure to check out their shop where they sell high quality giclee prints. Just a few images that were so calming and lovely to look at!
